Why Spacex’s Next Rocket Test Will (Probably) End in Flames

Next week, Spacex’s latest Starship prototype is going to attempt a test flight t hat CEO Elon Musk says it has only a one in three chance of survival. In all probability, Starship will end up in a fiery grave. While this launch test is crucial to the development of the Starship rocket, its “success” or “failure” is not. Here is what can go wrong and why it may not matter anyway.

What is the Starship Rocket?

The Starship rocket is Spacex’s next generation launch vehicle intended to replace the Falcon 9/Falcon Heavy. Starship will be largest rocket ever built, even larger than the Saturn V rocket that took humans to the Moon. …

Five Ways Healthcare is Draining America

From the federal debt, falling life expectancy, and stagnant wages, most of American’s top concerns can be addressed in one fell swoop…if politicians are willing to take on vested interests in the healthcare industry. While I wouldn’t hold your breath, America’s healthcare crisis isn’t only about the millions of uninsured; our inability to control spiraling costs may be the single biggest issue weighing the county down.

Spending Too Much….Far Too Much.

By this point, it is almost common knowledge that America spends vastly more on healthcare than any other nation on the planet. This is not only true in gross dollar terms, it is also true in per capita terms (per person). At over $10,000 per person in 2018, America is spending far more per capita than any other nation; about double that of other developed nations. …

Why this might be more necessary than you think

Spacex is pitching their latest rocket…. as an orbital garbage truck. While we humans have been happily polluting and toxifying our Earth, it turns out that as of late, we have been upping our game and polluting space as well. Earth is now surrounded by a “cloud” of orbital debris, or “space junk,” as it is commonly known. This cloud of debris threatens the future of space travel…as well as civilization on Earth. Luckily, Spacex might have a plan to deal with this problem before it is too late.

Our Growing Dependence on Space

Satellites form an important and growing part of our everyday lives. They are used in weather forecasting, environmental monitoring, but also are instrumental in helping guide our phones, navigate our self driving cars, and even plot the course of missiles and drones. …

Why this latest mishap could be a big deal

Spacex newest Starship prototype (SN8) lit its engines in what was supposed to be a groundbreaking test fire, only to spit out what appeared to be sparks…suggesting that something had gone terribly wrong. While failures are to be expected in this revolutionary rocket project, this latest hiccup comes after a string of mishaps that stretch back over a year. So what went wrong this time and why is it a big deal?

The Starship Rocket

The Starship rocket, when completed, will be the largest rocket ever built, even dwarfing the mighty Saturn V. Unlike the Saturn V, however, Starship aims to be fully reusable, with the first stage landing back on Earth much like Spacex’s revolutionary Falcon 9 rocket. The upper stage, which is what was tested here, will have flaps and a heat-shield that allow it to do a never-before performed ‘flip’ maneuver that will reorient the craft from reentering the atmosphere on its side, to perpendicular with the ground so that it may fire its engines for landing.

Four Bad Policies That Have Led America Astray

Absent a miracle, America may truly bounce back from the Trump Presidency. The cruel irony of the MAGA platform is that many of their preferred policy positions actually weaken, and certainly do not strengthen America. To be clear, America’s decline did not begin with Donald Trump, nor is it likely to end with him, but Trump’s policies have led the country down a path that have take the country nowhere except backward. Here is a look at the four key mistakes that this administration has made.

Immigration Restrictions

One of the signature positions of the Trump administration is a strong stance against immigration. Trump’s supporters would disagree, arguing that the administration has sought only to crack down on illegal immigration, but encourages legal immigration. This notion is not born out in facts and actions, however, as I he frequently pointed out.

The Ultimate Guide to Trump’s Voter Fraud Claims

When exiting the Constitutional Convention, Benjamin Franklin was asked by citizens what type of government they had just created. He responded simply, “A republic, if you can keep it.”

A s I predicted, Donald Trump has led America into a dire constitutional crisis. Joe Biden has won the election, but for the first time in American history, the sitting President is stubbornly refusing to concede, claiming mass voter fraud and dragging the country deep into conspiracy territory that promises to further divide an already deeply polarized nation.

Mail is Voting Fraud is Not What it Seems

As a patriot, I want this election to be free and fair, but it’s abundantly clear now that it will not be. The 2020 Presidential election is already the most fraudulent election in this nation’s history. In the midst of a pandemic, the specter of mail-in voting, creates a huge and unprecedented opportunity to construct one of the greatest election fabrications in history. Here is how mail in voting will be used to steal this election.

Before we get into the details of mail-in voting fraud, we need to make a distinction. As President Trump has clarified, mail-in voting, often known as “absentee voting,” is NOT the problem. With absentee voting, a voter must first request an absentee ballot where their registration can be confirmed. They will then be mailed a ballot upon which they may securely cast their vote. Semantics make this a bit confusing because some states no longer use the term “absentee voting” to describe this form of voting, but the process is the same. The problem rests with so-called “universal mail-in voting”, where all registered voters are automatically mailed ballots regardless if they want one or not. See the difference? In the traditional mail-in method, a registered voter must request a ballot to be mailed to them, in universal mail-in voting, the ballots are automatically mailed to them.

The Holy Grail of Space Technology is in Sight

Is a trip to space in your future? Space is only 250 miles away, but the cost of launching rockets has long been a barrier to space vacations. Expensive rockets are built and expended with each flight….imagine the ticket price of your last vacation if the plane you flew on was dumped into the ocean each way. With the recent advent of propulsive landing, Elon Musk’s Spacex and others are demonstrating that it is possible to partially reuse rockets. But if space is to be truly affordable, we need the holy grail…full and rapid reuse. …

Healthcare is Complicated, but the Solutions Aren’t

Unless you have buried you head in the sand for three decades, you must recognize by now that America’s healthcare system is a mess. I dare say that you almost couldn’t design a more utterly useless, expensive, and chaotic excuse for a “healthcare” system if you tried. The current system leaves millions of people out in the cold, costs far more per person than any other nation, and yet American’s aren’t living longer or healthier. In fact, American’s are living shorter and more miserable lives than much of the world. …

As Congress Fumbles on More Stimulus, They Miss the Point Entirely

Forget stimulus checks, we can do better. Stimulus checks, whether they are $800, $1200, or $2000, provide a nice boost to the economy when it is direly needed. But they are but a band-aid on larger and deeper economic problems. Instead of more stimulus, we could achieve a similar economic growth boost, with less government expenditure, and make that growth sustainable in the long term by doing one thing: chuck the tax code into the trash can.

Okay, you don’t have to throw it in the trash can, you can shred it, burn it, bury it, or throw it into a river (just make sure it doesn’t float back up). The tax code is a corpse comprised of the bones, shells, and ashes of powerful vested interests. And a corpse is a corpse, no amount of dressing up will make it any less a corpse. We cannot modify the tax code any longer. …
